I am currently a senior at Calvin University in Grand Rapids, Michigan. I have grown up traveling the world with my family and want to see as much of it while I still can. I am studying nursing at the University but am still unsure of what field to pursue. I love to hike any chance I get - especially in the mountains. I don't like to spend idle time and would love recommendations of places to visit while visiting each city!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

My friend and I are planning a post-graduation trip to Europe. I travel often with my family and am always looking for a new place to explore. We are only in Europe for two weeks and are trying to make the most out of the time we have there. In the past my family and I have chosen to stay in Bed and Breakfasts instead of hotels so we can meet and learn from the people of that country. My hope is to learn not only about the countries we visit but about the people, culture, and history as well.

Music, Movies, and Books

I listen to anything that is on the radio- country, pop, classical, rock, jazz, alternative, you name it. When it comes to books I will always love a good mystery. This is the same for movies as well with the occasional thriller.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've hiked three of the 14,000 ft mountains in the US and can not wait to do more! In the future my dream would be able to move closer to the mountains in order to climb these more often.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Even though I have not traveled as much as I would like, I can still share about trip recommendations in the United States. Colorado has been the state I visit the most and can list excellent hikes that are a must when visiting. I am not as drawn to the big cities in the States since I don't find them as interesting so I won't be much help if that is the goal. I have also lived in Mexico for 6 months and Honduras for 1, so if there is an interest there I can help as well. Other countries I have traveled to include: Peru, Costa Rica, Bahamas, Puerto Rico, Canada, Netherlands, Belgium and Germany.
