About Me
21 years old Performing Arts Student living in Bucharest, Romania
Hello! My name is Moraru Victoria Ecaterina, I am 21 years old and I study a BA in Acting at National University of Cinematography and Theatrical Arts “I. L. Caragiale” in Bucharest.
I was born in Vaslui, a small eastern town in Romania and I have moved to Bucharest in 2016.
My biggest two passions are traveling and acting. I absolutely love everything about these two and I feel everyone should do so.
I started traveling when I was a child, discovering my country with my family. When I was about 8-9 years old I traveled abroad for the first time, with a theatre tour in Moldova. I was the bunny in a children’s play 🐰
Ever since I got fascinated about other cultures and now I believe it is a “must” to try to visit as much of this world as you can while you are in it.
I aspire to be a self proclaimed polyglot one day and I am currently trying to better my French and learn Italian.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
The thing I enjoy most about traveling is that you get to meet people with very different cultural backgrounds. It’s this cultural diversity that kept me fascinated about the world from the first day I got out of my hometown. And I think everyone should travel and be aware of this. Couchsurfing is a great initiative that could help me to do so and I salute its great inventors:)

Music, Movies, and Books
I listen to (almost) all kinds of music; I prefer though underground artists, folklore music, pretty much everything that is classic, I also enjoy a lot listening to techno and minimal sometimes, and obviously I love the “danceable” music. I would like to learn more about classical and jazz music, trying to educate myself into this thing :)
My favorite director is Scorsese. I think he is a genius and I hope I’ll get to meet him one day. I also work on my movie culture, I think I need to see many more movies in order to have an opinion about anything here.
I mostly read dramaturgy for school. The last book I read was Rupi Kaur’s Milk and honey- it’s a poetry book ; I found it in a cafeteria and couldn’t take my hands off of it for 2 hours. Beautiful book, especially for a girl my age, it was a blessing I found it. Wish I would invest more time and energy in reading so if you have a recommendation feel free to tell me about it :)
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
When I was visiting Venice this spring with a friend, we lost our night FlixBus and had no place to stay at in Venice so we went to every party/bar until they closed, the last one closed at 2 am and since 2 am to morning when the train station opened, we wandered around dark, empty and actually really creepy Venice. We walked 20 km that night. Not sure if that qualifies for “amazing”, but I got other stories as well ;)
Teach, Learn, Share
Be kind even in your worst days, even with those who aren’t with you, they need it most:)
What I Can Share with Hosts
Excitement about traveling haha
I can help with work around the house at the times I don’t have visiting-around plans, I cannot cook interesting stuff but I would like to help and learn, I can do the dishes, send postcards from my country on holidays, I can help your primary/secondary/high school children if they have problem understanding math at school, I don’t know much about gardening and/or farming, but again, it would be great to learn while helping, stuff like that
