Resumen
Sobre mí
My name is Victoria, and I come from a small town in Louisiana. I grew up with an incredibly large family, living in a neighborhood filled with my great aunts and uncles, aunts and uncles, too many cousins to count, my grandparents, and parents. I also have four amazing siblings and two adorable dogs. I live with Brian, someone I get the privilege of calling my boyfriend, high school sweet heart, and someone I'd like to spend forever with. The concept of family is very important to me, and my family is the core of everything I do.
WHAT I DO
I am currently a tiger at LSU with a major in biology, hoping to pursue a career in the medical field. Aside from school, I pay for my expenses as a server at a fantastic Japanese restaurant in Baton Rouge and also work for a marketing firm based in Maryland. When I am not taking orders and bussing tables, I am drafting designs for businesses in America.
INTERESTS
My two passions in life are cooking, poetry, and travel. I would love to be able to eat foods from all over the world and expand my palate but when I cannot, I try my best at recreating the unique dishes at home. My goal in cooking is to be able to recreate the Vietnamese dishes my mom and grandmother made for me while growing up perfectly, so my kids (don't have any right now, LOL!) will be able to understand the culture and country they came from. My poetry is something I've done for many years as a way of expressing myself, although I keep it mainly to myself and a couple of close friends. It is maybe the only thing I do solely for myself. And traveling, of course, who wouldn't love to travel the Earth and see all it has to offer.
Por qué estoy en Couchsurfing
I am on couchsurfing because I would love to travel the world. Although I love all the big attractions a city has to offer, I often leave feeling like I was just a tourist when I wanted to be local. I want to be able to see a place for all that it is and all that it has to offer and leave feeling like I've lived there some time before. My friend introduced me to couchsurfing, which provides a way for people from all across the globe to be able to immerse themselves in such a diversity of cultures and experiences, so of course I just had to join! Maybe one day when I'm established, I'd love to return the favor.
