I grew up and graduated in Moscow (which is, like, my favourite city ever, seriously, it's not some kind of baby duck syndrome on my part, come to visit and see for yourself that it's totally awesome!:)), studied a semester abroad in Berlin and returned to Russia to go on with my studies. Currently I am majoring in Computational Linguistics. It sounds confusing for most people, but basically you get to learn all the cool linguistic stuff plus math plus programming, which is a mindblowing and delicious mix! :)))

Part of my research nowadays is dedicated to African languages, and I even conducted a linguistic research in Togo, West Africa, in winter 2019!

I also work in the tourism industry and as a freelance journalist.

I travel a lot and try my best to get to know the place, starting with its history and culture and finishing with the night life :) I have taken part in fun international events such as ISWiB (International Student Week in Belgrade) and ISWinT (Timisoara). I was also a volunteer at the Sochi Olympic Games 2014. From my trips I gained a lot of new friends, an open-minded approach, an increased stress tolerance (cause in every good journey something inevitably goes wrong) - and LOADS of stories!

Not being original here, I see Couchsurfing as an opportunity to meet amazing adventurous people; to get acquainted with local life and menthality and therefore soak up the atmosphere of the place. In fact, it's not the place that makes your journey unforgettable but the people that surround you there!:)

Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue

In March 2015 I travelled to Svalbard to see the solar eclipse and the northern lights. Although failing in both cases, I succeded at not being eaten by a polar bear, and that's something, isn't it? :)
