I'm an Australian woman travelling solo around the globe with Workaway and house-sitting (and now Couchsurfing) because I love to experience different cultures and understand more about how different peoples live their lives.

In 2014, I wrote a best selling book (Amazon) on how to make the rest of your life the best of your life.
In 2018, when I realised I wasn't living that life, I decided to do something about that.

Currently, I'm in France on a Workaway gig supporting a French woman launch her new business on social media. Last month I developed and presented sessions to 64 classes of Italian school kids to help them with their conversational English. And boy, are Italian school kids noisy :)

Early April 2019, I spend two nights in Barcelona, then travel to Seville to support a chef promote her cooking classes online (Workaway gig). Then Madrid, here I come.

Due to Schengen, the latest date to leave the zone is 1 May 2019.

That's when I fly to Albania (another Workaway) to work with a centre supporting refugees and women of domestic violence.

In the last six months, I've stayed in Italy, Croatia, Turkey and France. Such a fulfilling journey.

Due to my online businesses in LiveStreaming and ChatBot building, a good internet connection is important.
(Sadly lacking in large parts of Australia.)

My intention is to be back in Australia for Christmas 2019 to spend time with my two adult children.
Let's see what the Goddess has in store for me :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Why am I on Couchsurfing? So many people have said "You should try Couchsurfing."

Even with a significant history of 'sleeping in many beds' as an international trainer and with 23 years as a soldier in the Australian Army Reserve (think exercises in the Australian bush in torrential rain under a hootchie [rectangular piece of camouflaged plastic] for cover), the thought of sleeping on a couch was not appealing :))

But there are incredibly uncomfortable beds and incredibly comfortable couches.
And yes, I now know not all nights are spent sleeping on a couch.

Even as an 18 year old travelling solo to the UK for a two-year working holiday my intention was to experience how British people lived their day to day lives.

Culture and 'real' people are important to me.
With all my travels, the times I've stayed in hotel type accommodation has been rare.

So I'm on Couchsurfing for the experience of both give and take, also known as sharing.

Currently, I'm homeless :) Not quite sure when I'll settle back down again but when I do, it'll probably be back in Melbourne (LOVE that place) or possibly in Queensland.

So whilst I can't reciprocate now, when I have a place to live ... I will.

I hope to meet you one day.
