I'm Tory. I'm little but passionate and fiery. Right now I am an English teacher living in Gunma, Japan but I will be moving on to the next adventure soon.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Through Couchsurfing, I have been hosted and have met up with other surfers and shown them around. I haven't had the opportunity to host yet but am excited for when I will be able to.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

All of my Couchsurfing experiences have been unique and wonderful. They have all been so different and I've loved all of the times I've had with other surfers whether it was singing karaoke, doing acroyoga in the park, or playing Dungeons and Dragons.

Interests

I enjoy... a lot. I love learning new languages. I also love reading, singing, seeing and doing art (specifically oil painting), all forms of yoga, most outdoor activities- heads up, I'm afraid of heights-and cooking. I love cooking and sharing what was made with people. My favorite foods are Indian and Thai but I'm not so great at cooking them yet.
And last but not least, I LOVE animals. I will stop wherever I am to cuddle anything fuzzy that will let me.

Music, Movies, and Books

I don't have a favorite book at the moment but my favorite author will now and forever be Diana Wayne Jones. Her stories enchanted me as a child and her adult fiction was wonderful as well.
I like all music but I have a very soft spot for Disney and musicals.
I like all movie genres with the exception of horror. My favorite types are Sci-fi, action, brom-coms, and Disney or really anything animated.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I recently moved to Japan to teach. It's my first time abroad.It is quite an experience.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach English and can share bits of other languages. I can also teach how to make a super yummy guacamole. I want to learn more languages. I am really open to learning anything but I would really enjoy learning to cook new things and learning new dances.
