Going to Japan is by far the coolest thing that's ever happened to me.

The reverse culture shock was exquisitely eye-opening.

I am kind of a midwester, middle class kid who has also seen her share of tragedy. I like my job a lot as a journalist and it's helped me learn a lot about how to get what I want out of live (other than money ;) I don't mind sharing any of this.

More recently, I took a job in japan as a language teacher. This has left a wealth of hilarious experiences, including a 45 year old Japanese man singing "like a virgin" to me and much more !
