Hi guys. I am Victor. 1/3 Venezuelan, 1/3 Spanish, and 1/3 the rest of the world. I don't smoke nor drink but I love traveling, learning, sharing and running.

I have lived in 8 countries and visited more than 1500 cities/towns in 75 countries/territories. I studied Geoinformatics Engineering in Venezuela and then a couple of MSc. (Cadastre and Geology) and a PGDip (Real Estate Valuation). I also got a Doctorate in Geoinformatics Engineering at the Technical University of Madrid (UPM)

I am not either a classic tourist, luxury traveler, or backpacker, I am used to traveling with a small scholar backpack (the one that fits under the seat of any airline). Personally, I am quite easygoing, open and simple, and very respectful of human beings.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I started using couch surfing in 2012 to share with other cultures. However, I abandoned it because it was losing its charm about passion for travel and becoming a dating app or tourism services app. For me, couch surfing is about community and sharing a local experience. Hope it will keep, most of the time, its goal, that is, to connect passionate people about traveling around the world.
