Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I don't enjoy being a tourist, meeting locals is always more fun. Also I lived for a long time in Barcelona, where tourists take up much space to stay while they are visiting that otherwise would be housing for people that actually take part in the life of the city. Hosting visitors can be a way to reduce this impact.
