About Me

Hi, my name is Vido and I am eager to travel. I have been working in hotels and similar establishments for quite a few years, always welcoming people from all over the globe. Lately I have started to become one of these globetrotters, noob really for now :)
I had been living in Malta for whole 2016 and a bit more. Now I am back in my home country, couriously exploring my new opportunities for travelling and/or living somewhere abroad, maybe Tenerife :P I have been active on couchsurfing since 2013, only co-hosting couchsurfers with my now ex-girlfriend Natasha Bucinel. She is one of most active couchsurfers in my country. I am a self-exploring person and I do not need much attention, maybe just a bit more upon my arrival :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

My friends have suggested that I should open my couchsurfing account due to my hospitable nature and wish to co-host worldy travellers. I usually travel oldschool through youth hostel or hotels, but now I wish to explore my next destinations from a local perpective, living with nice people that present me with their insight on local life.

Interests

I am a hungry person and I really like to try the local cuisine :P
I absolutely adore riding a scooter and soon also travelling with it.
Travelling really long distances is something I like to do with either train or a plane, oh yes, and a hippie station wagon from the 60s :D

Music, Movies, and Books

lately I have been listening to hi-nrg music like oldschool and new italo disco, some techno and trance music, rock anthems and happy hardcore rave-y tunes, good stuff :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

not bragging here but once I have saved an old man's life by yelling. He was standing on a tram track in Belgrade while the tram was rushing towards him. I am really happy that he heard me and moved from the track.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I have been active in hospitality and related tourism activities for almost half of my life. I can share the stories I had lived in Slovenia, on the road and experience with living abroad in Malta. I can tell you a great deal about Slovenia, since I used to be an information officer, assigned to informing tourists about the whole country. We can practice english together, I do have some american accent, hope you don't mind :)

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Malta, Montenegro, Serbia, Slovakia, Spain

Countries I’ve Lived In
