ABOUT ME

I am a friendly, easy going guy interested on how can cities could be improved through technology. I love cycling, programming, trains and seeing trees and rivers. I consider myself an activist, I try to be informed about what happens in my city, country and world and then, if possible take action.

Love sweet, indie music such as the first Coldplay songs, big fan of Travis, Keane, mexican rock band Zoé. I also like others kinds of music such as classic contemporary and minimalist: Max Ritcher, Ludovico Einaudi, Yann Tiersen, Abel Korzeniowski, Boards of Canada and Philip Glass.

My top favorite songs are Gravity, Easy to Please and Parachutes from Coldplay.

I am also interested on impact entrepreneurship and technology-based startups, currently I am running my own: Wikicleta, an app for urban cyclists.

I plan to start travelling during a month once on a year, I want to meet people from all around the world, make friends and who knows, perhaps I can met someone special.

Currently I do not own a couch to share, on July I will be moving back to rent with a friend who also enjoys hosting couchsurfers, then I will be able to host.

Music, Movies, and Books

I am interested on sci-fi novels and science difussion films. Prefered authors: H.G. Wells, Richard Matheson. Used to read a lot of books on history of Europe, particularly interested on the effects of the Reformation on the Enlightenment era and French revolution.

Regarding movies I prefer art-cinema films such as Good Bye Lenin, Antonia's Line, however I love horror and sci-fi films too.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

On Mexico City, my home city. Everyday of the week there is a night ride of different cyclist groups. I went with the group I commonly ride with to the center town, at 1 AM we were arriving to the zócalo (the center city square) with two little children who joined on their bikes with our group and it was amazing!

On Busan Korea I met dozens of students, I got amazed about the hospitality of the Korean people I met there.

A friend's wedding on Xalapa, Mexico. After the wedding party finished we all throw pieces of remaining cake to each other, runned and laugh, then we went to a nearby beach to see the sunrise.

If you host me, I can bring you a gift from my country: a lucha libre mask, a flag, anything particularly mexican you want.

If you are interested on technology, I can teach you something about programming on Android, iOS or the web.
