Hey! My name is Matheus Vieira, I’m 18 years old, I’m from Santa Catarina, a state in the south of Brazil and, until december, I'll be living in Porto, Portugal. The reason why I came here is to participate on a research projec related to computer science, my area of study. Beyond it, I'd say I'm a really fun person, who's up to meet new people, different places, good music and, of course, try some typical foods. During my stay in Europe, I intend to visit some post cards and show to you, that we, brazillians, are really kind and funny.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

So, I'm here, in Couchsurfing, to travel around Europe, meet new people, try different food, listen to good music and, of course as we all are, to save some money. I also wish that, when I get back to Brazil, I can host some people there, this way, allowing me to know more about this big world we all share.

Music, Movies, and Books

About music, I'm definitively a POP person, I REALLY like singers as Lady Gaga, Beyoncé, Rihanna, Justin Bieber, Selena Gomez, and all these people that we often hear about. Besides it, I'd say I'm very open mind when it comes to different music genders, for example, in my playlist you can find from jazz to rap, and, sometimes, even rock, so... Now, when it comes to movies and books, I can say for sure that adventuries, supernatural stuff and unrealistic movies are my favorite, and that's all because I already have one real life, and I don't need to imagine or suffer for how unperfect it is.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I'd say that the most amazing thing that ever happened to me, until now, was to get here, studying in Europe. Since I was very young I dremmed about traveling abroad, and getting here, after all those years of hard work to win the scholarship, I can say, it was worth it.

Teach, Learn, Share

As a brazillian, I could teach you a little bit of our culture, language, music, traditions and, the one thing we all love, typical foods. About learning, I'd say the same thing my parents once told me, which is "knowledge is never enough", so, I'm able and really excited to learn anything you could teach me. Now, when it comes to share, I would say, without a doubt, that we can share moments. In our lifes, everything happens so fast that sometimes, and it's happens a lot, we forgot the reason why we're living for. So, with me, the one thing you can be sure of is that we're going to live now, in the moment, 'cause actually, that's the only thing we can be certain of.
