ABOUT ME

NOTE: Haven't used CS much at all. Will update my details here soon. Was in USA before, now back in Singapore.

Generally goofy, humorous, nerdy. Am a clean, considerate guest or camper. Am usually clever, unless very bored or hungry or sleepy. Yet am tactful, and won't step all over others' beliefs.

Reading and exploring history (traveling), expanding my awareness, documentaries, these things excite me. As well as seeing human kindness in action.

PHILOSOPHY

The "Pay it forward" concept is nice. Helping out a person, then making that person promise to help 3 others. I've had the opportunity to see it in action in my current little community. But oftentimes, I'm struggling enough NOT to "Owe it forward"! (As is usally the case when we end up depleted from badly managed generosity with time and money). I helped everyone except myself!! Still, trying to find a balance where we can "pay it forward" without imploding soon after.

I believe in eternity. Life is one short transient game within the whole plan of eternity.

Full contentment comes from full detachment from impermanence. "Ouch or no ouch? That is the question".

Pain is relative. It is painful to lose 9 million dollars out of 10 million. It is pleasurable to gain $100k out of the blue.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Suburb Scottsdale in AZ. Very nice secure christian family. The usual hustle-bustle of family with teens. Nothing much to do in that area, though. Will look for more interesting places once I get comfortable with taking risks in less secure environments. Need to ship home most of my high-tech expensive stuff.

Interesses

Piano (recently acquired skill). Music (but haven't had much time to enjoy it). Outdoor sports.

Documentaries, history, science and technology, philosophy, psychology, advertising and broadcast media, anything but computers.

Can't think of one right now. Pretty much everything I see is "out of ordinary" to me whenever I get away for an adventure. It's hard to pick out just ONE amazing thing. Most everything amazes me!
