ABOUT ME

I like: the color green, undomesticated animals and people, dumpster diving, firm handshakes, hitch hiking, Wikipedia, drinking copious amounts of tea, finding new unexpected food combinations, treasures of all sorts, learning, making, tounge-twisters, anarchism, trees, stories, languages, growing plants, finding new ways of being sad/happy, peace in all its forms, decentralization in most forms.

I dislike: guided tours (if the guide is not a friend), the sound of velcro, bureaucracy, the meat industry, the copyright industry, the tendency of people in groups to dislike and kill other groups, centralization in most forms.

You might make me happy by challenging me to learn a tounge-twister (in any language), teach me some new words, tell me your stories, show me how to make your favorite (vegetarian) food or desert.

You might upset me by cooking meat stuff in our kitchen and/or not taking your shoes off inside.

PHILOSOPHY

I prefer soybeans to meat, thinking to ideology and think Wikipedia is extraordinary.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

For me, hospitality networks like couchsurfing are about a free bed: about making the world accessible, to make money matter less. To make possible that everyone can participate. That people and ideas are brought together I think is a wonderful byproduct.As a host I try to have as few expectations as possible. Maybe we'll spend whole days together and indulge in lots of projects, maybe you'll only crash at my place and be away most of the time, maybe you'll be home all the time but be by yourself. I'm fine with any of it. Let it be what it will be.
