CURRENT MISSION
To live well, love much and laugh often!
ABOUT ME
We are a creative, adventurous and slightly mad couple who are thoroughly enjoying putting off becoming "responsible" adults just that little bit longer.
ALAN is 27 and hails from a beautiful part of the west coast of Scotland. He loves playing guitar, socialising, maintaining his beard (oh yes!), chilling out, going to festivals and is excited about his impending travel experience, as he is looking forward to hanging out with some weird and wonderful animals (and people) in our future adventures.
VIKKI is 30 and is a CCD worker and arts educator. I love learning new things, singing in the mirror, swimming in deserted water holes, baking things and then pretending that I burnt them so I can eat the whole thing, festivals (the friendly, chilled out kind, not the squishy, manic kind), hill walking, and solving all the worlds problems over a glass of wine.
We're getting married in Scotland in July in a mega 3-day festival extravaganza. Cos, you know, we're low key and don't like to cause a fuss...
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
We have had many unofficial couchsurfing experiences (read: we have slept on many floors when we've missed the last train home) but have recently starting using the site during our trip through Canada and the US. We were so touched by the the incredible folk who open their homes and their hearts to us. Long may it continue!
Oh, and we are also keen to offer our couch to any visitors who may come through Scotland when we get home. Honestly, come and see us :-)

Music, Movies, and Books
So many - how long have you got?
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
1. Got engaged at the Grand Canyon at sunset - that was pretty amazing! (Although I couldn't really say no, as we were standing on the rim of a massive hole in the ground...)
2. Being sandwiched between 2 huge elephants in Zimbabwe in the 90s (in a tiny VW Golf). I was only 14 at the time but I still remember the awe of being so close to such beautiful creatures in their natural environment (and being scared shitless because I thought we were going to get flattened...).
Teach, Learn, Share
Alan can teach you anything you want to know about salmon. He's an expert! And he can teach you how to count to ten in Gaelic. Ooh, and ask him about tying knots and ropey things - he's got mad skills!
Vikki can teach you some drama games.......? And the full lyrics to most musicals. I'm not ashamed.
We'd love to learn more about sustainable gardening and organic agriculture! And maybe Spanish.
