CURRENT MISSION

I am looking to meet people to drink chaï and talk in English or French, to help people learn Hindi, and to improve my English and French, and my awareness of the world outside India.

ABOUT ME

My name is Vikram Kumar. I am 31years old, and I have always lived in India's world capital city of yoga , Rishikesh. Some people know it as The big place for yoga , India's holiest river, the Ganga (Ganges)flows through my city and attracts people from all over India and all over the world. I have been interested in European culture and languages since I was about 9 years old. I enjoy my job as a guide, and have met 100s of great people over the years. I am still in touch with many of them. I want to meet anyone who is coming to Rishikesh from outside India on a pilgrimage or simply as a tourist.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I want particularly meet people in order to practice my English and my French. We can meet at Cafe for tea or stroll along the bank of river while we exchange stories and cultural ideas. I will be able to invite you my house as I make a good indian foods .

Motorbiking, Languages, Discussing with friends from around the world on Skype or here in Rishikesh , Going to the Gym, and when I have time, I like to watch a good Bollywood Movie.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can help people to get by in Hindi, though I am not a qualified teacher. I can teach useful phrases and expressions. It always pleases me when foreigners greet me me with a "Namaste", and I see how much more they get from their visit when they can start to pick up a few more words. In exchange, I get to talk in their language. I am currently concentrating on my French, so I am particularly interested in talking to French speakers from anywhere in the world.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can take u to a nice local visit in Rishikesh city and good lassi or chai on some point to make our day fresh and sweet, with goodness and relaxness!
