Witty (sometimes!), sarcastic, often drunk, can't dance (but you can convince me to try when I am drunk)

More ? Living with my Kazakh girlfriend in Bangalore, going to work everyday for the last 1 year, a sea change from my earlier life as a sailor.

Update: That was before! I am now an English Teacher in Almaty, Kazakhstan and the afore mentioned girlfriend is now my wife.

PHILOSOPHY

That's already stated in the mission.

Besides that I get itchy staying in one place or doing one thing for too long. My feet need to move to catch up with my wandering mind.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We were quite desperate when we looked for hosts during the 2014 World Cup in Brazil. We knew that we didn't stand much chance of paying for rooms or hotels with the hike in rates that comes with the World Cup.

And it was incredible, the wonderful people we found, the experiences we shared. In each city, we felt we had found the perfect hosts. They joined in our revelry, helped us get around safely, took such great pride in showing us the local customs, food, sights, culture, everything but most of all they were the best companions.

Jenny, Erica, Lilliane and Manu, Jossana and co. and there were so many others who offered to help and host, I don't imagine that everyone in Brazil could be as wonderful as you all were but you were the ones I met and it's no wonder I want to stay in Brazil forever. Thanks for everything!
