About Me

Hi there, I am Viktor.
I am always up for a trip and always looking forward to meeting new people. My first time Couchsurfing has been in 2018 and I had the time of my life. I love this community as it is very supporting and open for everyone.
I would call myself open, thoughtful and I am very respectful with others. My main goal is always that everyone feels great and that no one gets lost.

I love to stroll around new areas and just feel the vibe in every cell of my body. I love navigating through cities and I almost never get lost. I am also keen to nature and as a kid, I just loved to stroll around in a forest. I was also in the scouts so I might not die in the woods. I know a lot of stupid facts about almost everything and maybe we could share some!

A big hobby of mine is to cook recipes from foreign places and I am always open to learning new recipes to try them at home. I also love eating delicious food and tasting new things.

I am an always-learner, so I am always reading some book or just studying something. For me, it is important to keep the brain fresh and working and because of that, I read a lot. Due to my very active lifestyle, I don't get to read as much as I want, however, podcasts are a great addition to my information-sponge brain.

Write me a message if you need some information about Bern, Basel, or Zurich, I am always glad to help.

Also, contact me if you just want to chat or do something.

Hopefully, meet you soon.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To allow me to travel to places while getting to know these places better by staying at locals. I had a great time so far and I am very grateful for all the beautiful experiences I had with this great community.

I am also all about sharing. Sharing stories, food, ideas, places... and so forth.

Interests

My interests may seem a bit odd or random, but it's basically who I am. If you have any questions regarding my interests, feel free to text me.

As I said before, I love navigating through an area and I hardly ever get lost.

I also cook about twice a month a meal from a foreign place and I try new recipes every now and then. Basically, I am always on the lookout for some new inspirations.

I can also do all sorts of handy work (even though I wouldn't say that I am talented. I just like to do it).

Music, Movies, and Books

My favorite music is a hard topic for me because I love so many songs and artists that I could never decide which one is my favorite.

Lately a lot of modern and indie country to be honest.

I have the same issue with my favorite movie because I almost never just love one thing (but Brazil is a great movie!). But I have got some genres which I prefer to others. Those are War Movies, Science Fiction, Dystopian Movies and basically everything a bit off the 08/15 (another interesting fact here but I will tell you in person).

When it comes to books, I love reading personal stories that enrich my life by giving me the opportunity to connect to people I have never met.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I traveled through south Africa, Botswana and Zimbabwe and I was able to eat a crocodile Caesar Salad while seeing the Victoria falls right in front of me. The delicious taste and the visual sensation together was just a firework of sensations and emotions.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you german and swiss german (even though you probably will never need the latter).
I am also able to tell you a lot of stupid and unnecessary facts from history, economy and stuff in general (ask my friends, I am a fact-o-mate).

One of my talents is also talking and to convince people of my opinion. So if you need some help for your next speech or presentation, just ask me.

Also, if you need some travel info about Bern or Switzerland (or anyplace I have been), just ask.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Friendship, company, long and deep talks, exchange of stories and probably a good laugh.
I can also cook, work, clean and do all sorts of handy-work, if needed.
