Music, Movies, and Books

Music: almost any post-punk self-deprivating songs, from the Smiths and Joy Division to Interpol, rockabilly for fun, undying Kaiser Chiefs fun. Books (at the moment): Naked Lunch and Fight Club, love Milton, Blake, Joyce. Movies: Black Books Tv series (that's what inside of my head looks like)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I saw two seas wash into each other on Rhodos, drowning channels of Venice in February showers, I saw old white mansion converted into leper house 20 kms from my home city of Kharkov, a severed head of an old catholic saint in Pyrenees, Martin Luther's silver spoon in Wartburg castle, a house where Margarita lived in Moskow, I saw a boy who used to walk 17 kms to school every day in russian village, an old bar with music box near Rovno, Spring by Sandro Botticelli in Florence, a train of gypsies in Carpathians and my 4-day old niece first squint at the sun. Haven't done a lot yet myself

Teach, Learn, Share

Love to learn histories of cities, and what people think about manipulation of powers. I can teach English (have diploma for that, don't I) - i.e. if you make mistakes, I will notify you and maybe even remember the rule, and on my part always appreciate when corrected, play piano, tennis, can teach some yoga.

What I Can Share with Hosts

My wonderful mind, post-soviet childhood memories and ice-cream
