Grow up in Latvia, but as soon as finished high school in 2009 I packed up and moved to UK barely knowing what I am going for..
Stayed and worked in London for a year, after which realised I need to educate myself further.
Moved to Southampton and started an engineering degree. Graduated with BEng in Aero&Astro in 2014 and continued into PhD in Material Science (graduated in 2018).
Relocated to California in the beginning of 2018 and started Failure analysis engineer position at Apple later that year. Let's see what comes next..

About myself:
- I love vegan food, but has been mostly vegetarian recently
- very active. Really love to be involved in different sports and activities!
- open minded and very straightforward.
- social and happy to share and give advice according to my experience; love blabbing about my travels! Well as well as listening to funny stories and getting some advice.
- a big planner (most of the time), but spontaneity is always welcomed and loved by myself
- not a big drinker, but if.. I make sure to make most out of it!
- I love children (when they are not crying of course) and animals! Magyar Vizsla is my dream.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

WHY am I? I think it is silly question..
CS'ing is the coolest idea ever!
What can be better than meeting new people, travelling and getting to know different cultures without any obligations?

In 2014 was CS'ing for 40 days in Indonesia and I have to say it was my first and the best so far experience ever! Loved every second, even when things didn't go quite as good.. Hopefully I will have much more opportunities to do trips like that.

Also have hosted some people at our student house and still hosting occasionally..

Really enjoyed "his dark materials" by Philip Pullman and "The night Watch" by Sergei Lukyanenko russian version.

I can teach you a bit of acrobatics or acroyoga (call it the way you like it), some Russian, and microstructure of the steel.
We can go outside and play or go for a hike/run or climbing. We can also just relax, cook food and drink some wine :)
