About Me

I'm a software engineer from Budapest, Hungary. At least I was until I decided to grab a backpack and go explore the world properly. I don't know where I will end up... :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I really love to meet new people from different cultures! And I also love to share our culture with other interested people, like our dessert "túró rudi", which is chocolate covered cottage cheese, and freaks every foreigner out. Also, our word for "salud" is one of the weird stuff as well.

Recently I've been backpacking in South America (Ecuador, Peru & Bolivia) after volunteering for two months in Huanchaco, Peru, teaching the local kids of the poorer neighborhoods about environmental issues, how to recycle or make their own gardens... I've had the luck to work together with amazing people and hopefully change the world for the better in a tiny amount.

Interests

TRAVELLING! Music (post-rock, trip-hop, goa trance, metal...), going to concerts, keeping up with the newest technologies, blogging, writing, learning new languages, cooking, doing sports (hiking, swimming, roller blading, going to the gym, cycling, running, martial arts, dancing, squash...), reading, nature, watching cartoons, movies and TV series, going to theater plays and exhibitions, fooling around in Photoshop...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I went to skydiving, and it was the second greatest moment of my life. :)
I also volunteered in Peruvian villages and went backpacking on my own. I'm a late bloomer but better late than never! LOL

Teach, Learn, Share

The thing I've learned while traveling is that the 99,9% of people are super amazing and inspirational, and if you're in trouble, there is always someone to help you.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Well, I'm currently full of stories about my travels in a continent I've never been to before, including that one time I got bitten by a street dog or how I went skinny dipping and snorkeling among the lightning algae in Galapagos with people I've met just a few hours before. I can cook quite well if you're interested in Hungarian cuisine. I also have nice eyes. :)
