Overview
About Me
So I'm Viljar. I'm FTM and have changed my name twice, so that's why some of my older references show a different name. I currently go back and forward between two locations: A flat in Oslo and my home farm in Ålesund. I prefer hosting when I'm at the farm due to more space and time to be a good host.
Hobbies: Horseback riding, bouldering and climbing, mountain hiking and trekking
Topics of interest to me: queer and trans issues, anti-imperialism, anti-rasism, environmental issues, organic and sustainable farming. But I am happy to chat about other topics if this is outside of your interest fields!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I've hosted 101 people from 35 different countries since I joined couchsurfing in september 2007. Because CS updated it's system at some point, many of they are from the old system and therefore not counted by CS's statistics further down the page. I've also hosted a lot outside of CS, mostly activists, queers and friends of friends that just needed a place to stay in Oslo. I've been hosted 23 times in 17 different countries via CS. I have been hosted while travelling a lot more than that, though. Most of my experiences of being hosted have not been organized via CS.

Teach, Learn, Share
I would always like to speak Spanish with people, where I'm at an intermediate level and can hold a conversation ok. If people have patience for practicing (or teaching me) German, Icelandic or North Sámi, I'm always up for learning language. I'm happy to teach people some Norwegian if you are keen.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I live in an area with a lot of hiking possibilities. If I have time, I could take you for a hike in the area.
