About Me

I love doing different types of sports, eventhough Im not very good at most of the sports I have tried. Love dancing, swimming, hiking, going to the gym, running and when I dont feel like doing any of that, I dont.

I enjoy good wine, and going out. Love cooking, but also eating out. Good coffee is also a passion of mine.

I enjoy hearing peoples perspective of the world and how they view the world and life. Getting into deep conversations about points of view is also something I really enjoy. Meeting new people is something that I have a chance to do too seldom now days

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

So far, me and my boyfriend have had the pleasure to host in our home on a few occasions. It has been really interesting meeting new people from different cultures. We have also surfed a couple of times together.

Music, Movies, and Books

Books have always been a part of my life, I love reading. To mention some of my favorite authors: Jo Nesbo, Lars Kepler, Carlos Ruiz Safon, Agatha Christie, Henning Mankell, Mario Vargas Llosa, Jane Austen, John Irving, Jeffrey Eugenides, Emily Bronte, Kjell Westö, Joyce Carol Oates, J.R.R. Tolkien, Donna Tart and the list goes on..

When it comes to movies, I dont seem to have the patience any more(I think I have inflict myself to ADHD with the constant iPhone scrolling and news reading online). I do like classics such as The godfather for example, but I also enjoy comedy like Dumb and dumber. Other movies to mention some: Amelie, Goodbye to Lenin, Schindlers list, Life of Pi, American history X, Untouchable, Marley and me, the Departed, Die hard(S) and so on

Music wise, some artists have influenced my life a lot, but I consider my self to be open to any type of music (excluding the type of heavy metal that is basically just noise). Some of the artists important to me: Lauryn Hill, India Arie, Angie Stone, Tupac, MJB, Sia, Missy Higgins, Florence and the machine, The killers, Guru, The Charlatans...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have pakced my bags 4 times to move abroad, and each of these experiences has given me knowledge of myself and who I am and want to be as a person. I have also made friends all over the world, something that is more valuable than anything else. It has also taught me respect for other people, and that no matter what the situation there is always a solution.

Among the most amazing moments that I have experienced are the nightless nigth in Finnish Lappland, diving the Great Barrier reef and Berlin night life. Some of the not so amazing were being chased by monkeys in a park in Thailand, waking up to a massive spider falling on my forehead in Australia, and having to say goodbye to all the amazing people i have met in my travels.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can teach finnish which apparently is one of the most difficult languages on the planet, I can cook an amazaing dinner complimented with good wine and conversation.
