I'm curious and dynamic, interested in many things; I am not stressed-out and I am a bit introverted. I am always the last one to wake-up :D but the first one to do something new !

C'est un poème triste mais en vrai je le suis pas ! Je suis même optimiste.

Je suis pas un joyeux drille sifflotant bêtement au milieu du chaos. Garder espoir quand ça va mal n'est pas faire preuve de romantisme aveugle. C'est miser sur le fait que l'histoire humaine est [aussi] celle de la compassion, du sacrifice, du courage, de la bonté.
J'ai absolument confiance dans le fait, non pas que le monde va s'améliorer, mais qu'il ne faut pas abandonner la partie avant d'avoir joué toutes ses cartes. La métaphore est intentionnelle: la vie est un jeu de hasard. Ne pas jouer, c'est renoncer à toutes ses chances de gagner. Jouer, agir, c'est se donner au moins une chance de changer le monde.
On a tendance à penser que ce qu'on a devant les yeux est voué à perdurer. C'est oublier qu'on souvent été surpris par le soudain effondrement d'institutions, par des changements de mentalité fulgurants.
J'ai bien essayé de regarder le monde avec autant de pessimisme que mes amis, mais je ne cesse de rencontrer des gens qui, malgré tous les évènements atroces qui se déroulent un peu partout, me donnent de l'espoir. […] Il semble y avoir des milliers de gens ouverts à des idées différentes. Mais souvent, ils ignorent qu'ils ne sont pas seuls. […] Ne voir que le pire, c'est détruire notre capacité à faire quoi que ce soit.
Dans la mesure où nous agissons, même en faisant des choses minuscules, nous n'avons plus à attendre la grande utopie à venir. L'avenir est une succession infinie de présents, et vivre maintenant comme devraient vivre les êtres humains, au mépris de ce qu'il y a d'hostile autour de nous, est en soi une victoire merveilleuse.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've welcomed a 10th CSers and CouchSurfed a couple of times myself.
I found out that it's difficult to find couches in big cities in summer and that couchsurfind barely exists in little ones (like in Greece).

I'm not so sure about CS any more. It needs planning, so your trip isn't as fun as deciding the very morning what you gonna do. It requires to spend way too much time on the internet. Not a pb if you're willing to travel with a smartphone, but I don't want that, that's antinomic from travelling, yeah I assure you !

As a reminder, it's basic stuff, but I'm not a hotel-restaurant… you're supposed to have a towel and participate in the food, or at least try…

And there's something I really don't like: that a host asks for the wifi password as soon as he/she crosses the door step and spend the evening half surfing on facebook and half speaking to me…

Appart from that, it's cool to meet travellers from all over the world :)

Interessi

I want to get to know everything, but actually one has to choose. I like to learn new languages, to go walking with my tent; I read quite a lot, even on my bike; I try to participate in associations and in the projects I like (and finish my owns), and to understand what structures are oppressive around us, and how we suport them without even noticing.
