ABOUT ME

Hello! My name is Vince Fernandez. I am from Oklahoma, USA (in the middle of the United States, lots of tornadoes). I have always loved geography and languages so I decided to study linguistics in college. I have a BA in linguistics and a minor in french. I can speak some spanish, French and Russian and always widh to practice my skills with people. I wanted to reach English abroad when I finished college but did not know where I wanted to teach. Then I studied in Saint Petersburg and loved it. I made wonderful friends and met a wonderful woman who showed me all of the fun things that are there in Russia. For that readon I decided to teach in Saint Petersburg. I may seem shy at first but I do like to have fun and I know how to get around the city. Since I essentially have a degree in grammar, I know how to teach englishvand fix many mistakes. My favorite part about teaching English is that it alows

Music: the Beatles, Brand New, Husbands, all kinds really so long as it does not all sound the same.
Books: 100 Years of Solitude, the Catcher in the Rye, the Giver, the Brothers Karamazov, Master and Margarita, Lolita, the Stranger, the Shining, anything Chuck Klosterman.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have gone repelling down a castle wall in Italy, Walked on the Neva ruver in Saint Petersburg, seen the president of France, and played with adorable children in Nicaragua.

Teach, Learn, Share

I teach English. I basically have a major in grammar and can love to help people learn. My favorite part of teaching is meeting all of the people who want to learn. Learning a nee language is a difficult task so the people who I teach are either naturally curious or really ambitious; both are qualities which I like. I also love language so if someone could teach me anything it about there language or about life in their country it would be a pleasure.
