About Me

See me on Instagram: @ vinko.palisona

If you'd ask me now what my purpose of existence is, I'd say to compose and write music. But after my studies of Eurhythmics - music and movement (dance) in Berlin I realised music is more than just its written form. It lives, moves, and breathes the same like the humans that produce and tune into it. I incorporate this into my art and my pedagogy.

Luckily these are the things I enjoy most; To make music and to move - naturally, this includes social interaction. Usually, I travel with my recorders (flauta dulce, Blockflöte). Always ready for some busking. I used to live that way for several years. I lived in Uruguay and tried to use platforms like Couchsurfing to find hosts, but soon I found out that this way of living and getting to know people and hosting is already incorporated into their culture, so after some time I didn't need to use the internet any longer.

I think by living and traveling in South America, among other things, I've learned the mochilero / backpacker spirit. I am very familiar with the perks of being hosted, getting to know strangers and being sensitive to someones needs.
I used to live in a big flatshare, resolving conflicts together and I am familiar with non-violent communication.

By the way. Don't fool yourself into thinking I am messy because of that one review I got nine years ago. I'm pretty much the opposite of that now.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I would like to broaden my horizons, physically and mentally.

Interests

To be interested is one thing
To be engaged in doing it
To live it, that's it.

It's easy to be interested in music, but I really want to know how music works. What do you have to play, listen to or combine with it to have a certain effect. After all the question of my studies is: "What is music capable of? Can it transform your soul? Can it start a war? Can it stop one?"
