I'm a visiting research fellow in Boston, studying Latin American literature. I love foreign films, spending time outdoors, hiking, camping, and meeting new people. I'm very extroverted and love making people laugh. I live in Hollywood in a spacious studio with plenty of floor space and a comfortable air mattress. I'm LGBT and queer friendly.

Music, Movies, and Books

My favorite books range from Latin American and French authors to critical theory, so naturally I'm warmed by the likes of Juan Rulfo, Luis Zapata, Julio Cortázar, Rubén Darío, Sor Juana Inés de la Cruz, Roberto Bolaño, Jorge Luis Borges, Charles Baudelaire, and Hélène Cixious. I've been known to read Derrida, Foucault, and Deleuze for pleasure. I also enjoy reading The New Yorker, The London Review of Books, The LA Review of Books, and the Times.

Naturally I'm an avid Spanish and Latin American cinema buff, anything Pedro Almódovar and Alejandro Jodorowsky. And then anything French film (or just broadly European).

I'm working on my TV repetoire, but I'm a big fan of Law and Order SVU and as a true product of the 90s, Friends.

Just as difficult to keep concise as my books, but I love writing to indie, classical, rock, and R&B. My regular playlists Erykah Badu, Janelle Monae, and Michael Jackson. And of course, I have a soft spot in my heart for Mexican cumbias, rancheras, and salsa.
