Hey everyone!

My name is Vincent. I'm a 23-year old guy currently living in Lund, a city in the south of Sweden with about 100,000 inhabitants. I'm a university student, currently doing my bachelor in political science and economics.

The 2 biggest passions in my life are traveling and languages, and they actually fit quite well together as traveling to a new place often means encountering a different language or dialect.

Due to my parents' jobs, I have lived in 6 different countries, including 6 years in 2 of Africa's poorest countries. I have also traveled around quite a bit (I've been to more than 30 countries); mostly with my family, but also with my friends and on my own. This has definitely shaped me a lot as a person, and is probably why I enjoy traveling so much :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

When traveling, I don't like staying in hotels and visiting all the typical tourist attractions. Instead, I like staying at hostels or small, family owned hotels, and doing things that the locals do in order to actually see what life is like there.

What is even better than staying at hostels and small, family owned hotels is staying with locals (both people from there or people from abroad living there), as it provides a way more authentic experience, and I think couchsurfing is really good for this.
