About Me

Shalommarhabanxinchàobonjouraangenaammuchogustohello!

I'm an active, adventurous and a bit crazy guy. Since I was little I liked to challenge the status quo. Taking risks that most people wouldn't dare to and experimenting in whatever way possible. Before covid I used to be quite restless because I wanted to see and undertake as much as possible in the shortest amount of time. Because of that I've seen many places and met a lot of people. I gained many different insights and ideas and I became very open-minded.

Nowadays I'm more present and relaxed. Appreciating the moment and connecting on a deep(er) level. Sharing what's on the heart, wondering about the mysteries of life and visualising the infinite possibilities it has to offer.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

The main reason why I'm Couchsurfing is to get to know other cultures, and exchange ideas, stories and experiences with other people. It's always an interesting experience to stay with a stranger, no matter what. It is the best way to get to know the place you're visiting. To discover new believes, thoughts, and interests, to practice new languages, experience new things, and to make friends!

Interests

My interest is broad. I'm mostly interested in nature, spirituality, culture, language, history, philosophy and (eco) psychology. Topics like forest bathing, ecstatic dance, pilgrimage, (family) constellations, tantra, wilderness guiding, barefoot walking, singing, yoga, meditation, breathwork, and community/ecological/off-grid living are high on my list. I like to listen and dance to all sorts of (tribal) music, sing a variety of romantic joyful and melancholic songs, cook and enjoy varieties of (experimental) foods, share raw cacao, hike, camp and make fire in the nature.

Music, Movies, and Books

The hand of Fatima is by far the best book I've read in my life.
The best movie I've seen is 'Into the wild'. This movie made a big impression on me.
My taste in music is very broad but generally I like medicinal, tribal, guitar, and experimental music. Also golden oldies and reggae like Bob Marley, Bob Dylan, Billy Joel, Stevie Wonder, Buena Vista Social Club etc. More energetic music like Arctic Monkeys or The Cat Empire.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Hiking through the 'Accursed Mountains' in Albania in spring.

Teach, Learn, Share

What I can teach is to be honest, authentic, and passionate. I feel what is real, and I am open to share this when it's appreciated.

What I can share most of all is heart and soul connection. Furthermore I can share many different mantra's, delicious food created with many unique and contradictory ingredients, (introduction to) ecstatic dance, meditation, love and passion for nature, and above all excitement for life :)

Some mantra's I resonate with:

Life starts where your comfortzone ends.
It's better to light a candle than to curse darkness.
Never try, never know.
My soul is at ease knowing that what is meant for me will never misses me, and what misses me was never meant for me.
