About Me

I was born in Singapore from a belgo-french family and then had the opportunity to travel, live and meet a lot of different people all around the world.
I now live in Brussels, Belgium and work as a GP, with a special focus on access to healthcare for the most vulnerable and on patient-participation in healthcare. I also spent a lot of time in different projects accross the last years : for a Belgian NGO in West-Africa, exchange student in Taiwan, internships in China, HIV prevention in Belgium,...

Along the years I got interested in a lot of things. I like traveling and meeting people of course, and especially love exchange and sharing passions through hours long discussions about politics, philosophy, culture, society, arts, development, etc.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I discovered CS in 2013, during a trip in Taiwan and used it again a few times, as a traveler or as a host, since then. It really helped me a lot, especially to meet new people and get to know the country from a new point of view.

I am now trying to rediscover it in Belgium, as a way to host people traveling from all around the world and exchange with them.
I'm pretty busy at the moment, but we'll try to find a moment to get a drink, show you Brussels, or even host you!

Interests

I love travelling, especially for the meeting, exchanging and learning from others part. I love discussions and the encounter of different experiences and points of view. I especially love it when totally unheard ideas come to me on certain questions.
Through my Med school years, I also got particularly interested in medecine, public health and development, with a special interest for nutrition and child malnutrition, access to care, addictions, sexual health, etc., and for the actions we can take to change that.

Music, Movies, and Books

Easyer to talk about it! Love discovery!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I think one of my best travel memories would be spending 7 hours straight drinking tea and talking randomly about anything under a tree in a Primary school with Malian NGO partners in summer 2009.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach some French, I love discussing about every kind of topics and sharing life experiences.

I'm trying to learn the harmonica at the moment, so I'd really be interested if you could teach me some! I'd also like to improve my Spanish, in which I used to be fluent as a kid.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share life experiences and ideas, and make you discover Brussels, and Belgium.
