About Me

Hi! My name is Vincent, I’m 26 years old and currently based in Caen, Normandy (France).

I discovered the Couchsurfing community through my girlfriend during a trip to Asia, and I immediately felt that the concept matched perfectly my own vision of traveling and meeting people. For me, it’s a great opportunity to share stories, meet inspiring people, and discover another side of a country by experiencing a small slice of everyday life off the beaten path — while learning from others and sharing what I know.

I’ve already traveled to many countries in Europe and around the world. I also lived for a year and a half on the island of Mayotte, and had the chance to travel to Madagascar and South Africa.

I’m more of an adventurous traveler, passionate about nature landscapes, trekking, and simple moments shared with local people. When I feel good in a place, I like to slow down, talk, observe, and learn. For me, traveling is just as much about giving as it is about receiving.

In everyday life, I’m sociable, curious, and a good listener. I love DIY and woodworking (I fully converted a van myself, which really sparked my passion for building and taught me a lot), running, hiking, board games, sports, climbing, paragliding, music, and capturing beautiful moments through photography. I’m always eager to learn new things and I’m interested in many different topics.

I’ve almost always lived in shared spaces and community environments. I naturally pay attention to cleanliness, respect people’s rhythms and habits, and I make sure to leave places clean and tidy. For me, good cohabitation is mainly about respect, communication, and common sense.

I’d always be happy to work on a DIY project together, share a board game, discover hidden places, or exchange travel tips.

I sometimes go on adventures with a bit less preparation than planned… but I make up for it with good adaptability and an open-minded attitude. I’m not demanding when it comes to comfort — simple things are more than enough for me.

I am going to travel with my girlfriend We both are very respectful in our relationship and with other people. We respect the culture and other people space.
