I just achieved my Southeast Asia solo journey before the new year of 2019. 42 days with 11 cities, left my footprints in Singapore, Langkawi, Penang, Ipoh, Kuala Lumpur, Malacca, Phuket, Ayuthaya, Sukhothai, Bangkok, Siem Reap.

Maybe years later, when I recall those cities where I left my footprints, where full of memories, not because the how beautiful sceneries I’ve seen, or how yummy food I’ve eaten; but the people I met, the stories we’ve experienced there, those were the incomparable sceneries for my journey.

Hi, my name is Zhiwei, was born in Mid of China - Henan province, but live in Guilin currently, where is a picturesque tourism city in southern China. I am a super easygoing guy, openminded, optimistic, adaptable and independent.

I am passionate about music, travel and cooking. Travel and reading are both the best way to know our world. I have experienced help exchange trip in Australia, solo travel in Sri Lanka, self-driving tour in NZ... the earth is still waiting for me to discover. About music, I love blues, soul, jazz, country, pop… ummm... Basically love all kinds of music which can strike me a chord. I cook light food in majority, that’s because I am kind of person to seek healthy lifestyle, but indulge myself with some strong flavor foods like hot-pot once in a while. :-)Photography and video shooting are also my favorites. Now I am interested in house decoration design since I designed my house one year ago.

I have hosted some travelers via C.S. in 2018, I learned a lot from them, we both had a lot of fun together, some of them we became close friends, still keep in touch. My first experience as a CSer was in Singapore(November 2018), I believe that the true spirit of couchsurfing is to bringing interesting souls from different corners on earth together, to encourage people to explore the depth inside of our heart.

Teach, Learn, Share

I would like to share my travel stories, Chinese culture, teach you how to make dumplings during my day off. Providing you some useful travel information.

I will drive you around town after my work, bring you to visit some interesting places and also authentic local foods that tourists would never find. (Of course if my time permits)

Please be aware of that I work from Monday to Saturday weekly, which means I only have time to show you around the city after 6:00pm and normally Sunday all day free. I hope you don’t mind that if I have no time to hangout with you. But don’t worry I will give you some useful travel information.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Each one has their own unique story, I will share mine; Cook some Chinese traditional foods, dumplings etc. I can make pizza and cheese cake, if conditions permit.
