ABOUT ME

Professionally, I work as a UX Designer for a Canadian company. I'm a happy, kind person that likes nearly everyone! I really love discussing travels and exchanging tips on places to visit and discover. Most of the time I'm pretty calm but always open to go out! Love to walk in the city or just go by myself to see a movie. I really like to give to people and try to learn as much as I can from others.

PHILOSOPHY

I personally think that the world is just one big blue sphere and we all live on it. Why not try to understand who's living on the other side?

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

For the longest time I did not have a place to receive, but this will change soon. In the meantime, I'm always up for a cup of coffee or a tour of the city if you need any tips!

Never actually couch surfed but we did receive couch surfers at home a long time ago.

Interests

Mostly reading, all kind of stuff, fiction or not! I also love the outdoors and camping. I'm kinda addicted to video games and cult movies (some people call me a geek) but mostly, I'm passionate about religions and cultural studies in general. AND anything to do with design, architecture and food culture. I am a designer, after all!

Music, Movies, and Books

I like various types of movies and TV series. Some of the stuff I loved the most: Almodovar, Tarantino, Ridley Scott. Things I read: design literature, Stephen King, philosophical essays and things like "Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance".

I terms of music, I am a fanatic of all things lusophone (portuguese language) such as music from Brasil, Portugal, Cape Verde and Angola. I have extremely eclectic tastes. I have a lot of records and if you're curious, you are definitely invited to help yourself and play something when at my place ;-)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I lived in the Amazonian region of Ucayali, in a bustling, dusty city named Pucallpa, Peru. I've taught english (well, tried to) to the wonderful children of the San Fernando district. It was an amazing experience and I really got to discover many things like different food, language or even spirituality, as I've been part of a ritual that involved drinking the Ayahuasca, a sacred beverage.

Teach, Learn, Share

I've always loved languages, and for me, meeting people from other places is a plus. I will be delighted to help you improve your french or english (altough I'm way better in french). If you speak spanish or portuguese, don't worry if I seem a bit intense, I just love your language too much for my own good! I need to practice!

What I Can Share with Hosts

Things I love to share with people: food, stories, going out, a good beer (or six), etc. I'm definitely open to exploring the city with anyone or be more discrete if needed. I like when people make a point of sharing some of their experiences with me.
