About Me

After two years of living in Atlanta (USA) I recently moved to Barcelona. I love to write, dance, and have meaningful conversations with old and new friends. My mission in life is to connect people around the world to help them meet their goals.

I grew up in a house with five siblings and I now have a roommate from Australia. I get crowded living situations.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Three years ago I had a wonderful time surfing for three days in the Minnesota Twin Cities and an equally wonderful time surfing in Northfield, MN later that summer. Since then I've attended many Couchsurfing events and look forward to hosting people from my new flat in Barcelona.

Last time I couchsurfed, my host let me borrow his bike pass and ride around the city while he worked. It was an incredible introduction to the area and showed me the trust that makes couchsurfing work. We then went out to some of the bars and parks that my host was writing about as part of a cultural history. It was awesome to meet all his smart friends and spend time with someone else who had travelled the world.

Interests

I love listening to and telling stories. I also love helping people meet each other and reach their goals. In Atlanta I used to throw lake house parties where we tried to get as many nations and ages represented as possible. The last party we had ~120 people from 21 counties. Thirty-seven people including eight DJs helped me put the party together. My aunt was there and I introduced her to a guy who has since become her boyfriend.

Met a guy boarding a flight in Fort Lauderdale. Turns out we worked at the same company. A few emails later he invited me to stay at his apartment in Östermalm during my next trip to Sweden. We're now good friends.

Teach, Learn, Share

I love talking about philosophy and story telling. Started a story telling club with some guys in Atlanta. Probably one of the most meaningful things I have ever done.
