ABOUT ME

Born in China, grew up in Melbourne, and have lived in Germany, England, New Zealand.

I recently got back to Melbourne and am now in the process of planning the next chapter of my travels and life :D

I enjoy talking about anything and everything. I am open minded, outgoing and enjoy meeting new people and experiencing new places and cultures.

I have been told that I have a very crude and dry sense of humour.

PHILOSOPHY

This quote by Steve Jobs sums it up - "Your time is limited, so don't waste it living someone else's life. Don't be trapped by dogma — which is living with the results of other people's thinking. Don't let the noise of others' opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary.”

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am a regular at the local Couch Surfing meetings in Melbourne and Wellington (where I worked for a year) and I am always eager to meet new people (locals, foreigners, anything in between etc). Unfortunately, I have not been able to host anyone (as I have been flat sharing with people who were not too open to the idea). I will definitely host at some point in the future.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I was introduced to the Couch Surfing community while I was in New Zealand (where I worked for a year in 2012) by a backpacker that I met and haven't looked back since. I regularly attended meetings over there as well as the ones back at home in Melbourne and have met some of the coolest, interesting and fun people.

Too many to list!! I enjoy music, film, having nice and meaningful conversations, talking to random strangers, football (soccer),tennis, traveling, road tripping, partying, astronomy, learning new languages and skills, beers, food, hiking, and anything else that I find interesting (which can be anything really).

1) Staring at the Milky Way while sleeping outside in the Thar Desert, India. You realise just how big and awesome this Universe really is and just how small we Humans in the scheme of things.

2) Skydiving from 15,000 feet in Taupo, New Zealand. You're up in a plane 15,000 feet in the air, and then the door opens and you feel the wind rush through the plane. You hear the pilot yell "Go" and you start panicking, then the next thing you know you are free-falling watching the world move/spin around you. It's hard to describe but definitely a most memorable experience!

3) Trekking from Lukla to Everest Base Camp in Nepal. Enough said.
