ABOUT ME

We’re a couple living in the center of Pudong Diatrict in Shanghai. Regarding me, I was born on an island just next to Shanghai. I did a bachelor degree in aerospace engineering in Shanghai, and then went to Barcelona to do a master degree of 2 years in material science. Afterwards, I worked in an automobile company in Barcelona for 3 years, and now I’m back again in Shanghai to start a new life episode.

You can find me mostly extroverted, willing to discuss anything with you, and most often, I’m more willing to sit and listen to everyone’s life stories, also suharing my own stories.

I live with my couple together in a flat just in the center of Pudong District. We have a sofa in the sitting room for you to sleep on. We have 2 lovely cats and they have their own room to stay and play, but might cause some noise late at night.

Being an engineer, I’ve been finding myself really lost for quite a few years. Lost, not knowing what to do with my life. Then, I engaged myself with learning languages. That helped a lot but still not enough to feel deeply filled and replenished . Then 7 years ago, I started to play the piano since I started to fall in love with classical music, and that very moment I truly felt alive, a deep connection with myself and all the beautiful emotions, amazing , touching feelings you could find by just touching the black and white keys. .

Speaking of languages, I think every language represents a different type of personality. And when talking with local people with their own language, it's like turning yourself into someone of a totally different characteristic. A game of role playing and I really like it. In this way, I've got to understand them better and learn about another new culture. I really love this kind of beautilful and unforgettable moments.

PHILOSOPHY

Life can take big turns when you least expect them. I believe that everyone is responsible for every big choice and decision they make, and life can be divided into different periods with each big step you take. Follow your heart, take responsibility for your choice, and be brave to make it. I’m quite often fascinated by the different choices people have to make in difficult times. It is often during these critical moments that people start to learn, grow up and get enriched.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've had quite a few Counchsurfing experiences in Europe.
One of the best and also the first couchsurfing experience has been the best. Two weeks in Mallorca hosted by a very friendly guy who's been in CHina for many years. He kindly welcomed me home and I've stayed with his family and friends for almost 2 weeks. Best experience ever with couchsurfing.

Interests

I love reading books of all different topics: social science, literature, non-fiction novels, history, politics, biology, physics, psychology, etc.
I love classical music so I love to play the piano. And from time to time go to some concerts. Also i love indie-rock, so i often go to many live shows in Shanghai.
I also love traveling, especially hiking and climbing mountains.
Also love learning languages so I organize a Spanish language exchange activity, and occasionally go to some mixed language exchange events.

Music, Movies, and Books

As for music,I love to listen to R&B, indi rock and especially classical music, Among all, Chopin, Schubert and Bach are my deepest love.
Well, Coldplay is my favorite band I have to say. They're really amazing. And also Foo Fighters, RHCP, etc.
Movies?Well, anything thought-provoking is OK.
Books.That's a long story.To cut it short,I love reading philisophical books written by both ancient and modern writers ,especially German philisophers.
I also love to read world literature classics. Among all the books,I love those written by French writer Victor Hugo best.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I stepped on a private plane with one Couchsurfing host I met in Lisbon, and we two took a breathtaking trip along the coast of Lisbon.

Here,I'd like to reiterate my personal philisophy that you have to live in the manageable moment--right now, and do what you love,otherwise, you'll find life boring and in the end get yourself in a mess. That's why I choose to go here to find friends who'll be sincere,friendly and warm-hearted enough to host me and make friends with each other, for friends are an essential part of your whole life.
