About Me

I am now taking a gap year, traveling to India, Nepal, Kyrgystan, China, New Zealand... And then I don't know haha.
I want to learn more about new cultures and about myself. Looking forward to develop social skills but also "meditation" skills... And learn all sorts of things they don't teach you in school.

I met a really cool guy (who has been traveling and hiking for more than 10 years now) while I was in Kyrgystan and he convinced me to buy a plane ticket to New Zealand and do the Te Araroa. So here I am, coming to New Zealand!

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm pretty open when it comes to music and I love discovering unique bands, but I usually listen to progressing/psychedelics rock (Pink Floyd, GYBE...), reggae (Bob and Damian Marley...), french canadian music (Les colocs, Bernard Adamus...) and some rap and mix between styles.
Honestly I don't think I have read a book in English outside of school, but I love Réjean Duchamp, Tahar Ben Jelloun, Dany Laferrière and some other French authors.
I'm really a big fan of movies so the list could be long, but the firsts to come to mind are Mulholland Drive, Kill Bill, Fight Club and City of God.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I was selected along with 6 other students to build an extension to a mental health center in Benin and it was an unbelievable experience. As a group we worked hard to organize fundraisers and get sponsorships for our project a whole year before leaving. Once in Benin we all lived in different families while working on the project for three months. It was by far the most intense and authentic experience of my life as I became close to my local family and discovered a culture so different from anything I knew, while becoming very close to the other members of the group.

Teach, Learn, Share

I have been traveling for a while now so I have seen many different ways of living and I have many stories to share. I would like to learn more about local cultures and anything you find interesting!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share stories about my travels. I can also cook and we can have a good time!
