Overview
About Me
I am a bit busy with my work at the moment, but would like to host again some couchsurfers.
Note I particularly like last minute request. As I don't like to block days because I promised to host someone, so feel free to request only a few days before your coming (or even during the day).
Also: if you are travelling by bike you have a really high chance to get accepted ;)
If I host you, you can expect from me: discussion, sharing a meal and a drink, maybe a visit of Maastricht with comments of the guide if possible :)
But I might also be busy with personal projects or work related things, in this case you are welcome to enjoy the house and location anyway! And I can give you tips on things to see., and we are located in the center so it is really convenient to go out during the day or at night!
I am from France and my roommate is a 28 years old man from London.
Like most people in here, I like travelling, experiencing new countries, discovering cities and talking to people.
From outdoor sports to partying, I am pretty active and usually up for doing something.
I particularly like (mountain) biking, the best way to go anywhere you want, according to me!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Hosting people is nice to break with routine and discover travellers (kind of travelling while staying home).
And while traveling I particularly like to get advices or go out with peoples that know well the surroundings
Interests
In general, I like activities linked to nature and moving: biking, mountain biking, hiking, camping, skiing (eventually sailing, but it has been a long time!)
With a little preference for thrilling sports (first love is mountain biking)
Learning new things through discussion about anything: science, biology, physics, technology, politics, history...
- culture
- environment
- politics
- technology
- traveling
- outdoor activities
- cycling
- camping
- biology
Music, Movies, and Books
Listening to all kind of music (actually not much metal, but metal show are my favorite ones, because of the sweat and lovely atmosphere). But I can't play it at all...
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Biking more than 1 300 km alone through Europe (Paris - Brussels - Amsterdam - Cologne - Luxembourg).
Then biking from North Laos to South Cambodia during the Monsoon with 2 friends!
Teach, Learn, Share
Since it is what I am actually working on it, I can share my knowledge in biomedical research, computer science, knowledge representation and Internet technologies.
I love discussing and learning about anything. I love understanding how other culture differently see things.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I also can share about the knowledge I got from my travel (for purpose I lived 5 months in California and 9 in Quebec)
