About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Carpe Diem - Working at the Rio +20 conferences

ABOUT ME

Always looking on the bright side of life, utopist, peaceworker, music lover! I'm passionate about most of the things I do, makes life really intense!

PHILOSOPHY

The problem is not conflict, but the way we choose to deal with conflict. Dialogue through non violent communication is the key to all conflicts.
"Hapiness is only real when shared"
Everybody deserve love.
"The only thing between you and your dream is you."

Interests

Professionally: Conflict prevention and transformation, non violent communication, politics, humanism, justice, the Occupy Movement, economy, finding new solutions and thinking outside the box.

Personally:
I play saxophone, drums, guitare, congas, I might sing, and I am always interested in sharing my playlist! One of my passion is Parkour, or "art of movement" (overcoming every obstacles in a fluid and efficient way in an urban environment) since 6 years. I'm pretty fond of hockey too and play since I've lived in Montréal, in 2000. I love to dance rock'n'roll, salsa, merengue, forró, valse and hip-hop. I'm always available to go hicking into the wild, hitchhiking, having deep conversations, fun ones too, having a drink and/or two (if it's good rum, pisco, or fernet, I really can't say no!)

Music, Movies, and Books

I am fond of "Garden State", "Little miss sunshine", all Hayoa Miyazaki, "The Boat that Rock","Into the wild", The great Dictator, Inside Job, and many more!

If I should choose my favourite bands, my eternal favourites, I would say: Hocus pocus, The Cat empire, Bonobo, John Butler Trio, Louis Armstrong, Chinese Man, Ray Charles, The Beatles, Buena Vista Social Club, Jacques Brel, Nujabes, The Pharcyde, Parov Stelar, RJD2, Souls of Mischief, The XX, IAM, Zebda, Foster the People... As you can see, I listen to all kind of music, and would love to discover some of yours!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have walked in a deep forest for 24 hours with 7 kids under my responsability (as a chef of Patrol with the European Scout) in a storm, without cooking stuff, tent, tarpolin, map, just using a compass and natural protection (we built our own shelter with wood..): it was SICK !

During the summer of 2008, I have done a 6000 km trip in two months by hitch hicking with my brother in the easten Europe, crossing Swiss, Austria, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, Turkey, Greece, Italy and France in 72 cars: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LJRzfHqB40g

I've lived in a small city in the center of Cuba for three months in 2011, thanks to a false Vatican visa, playing saxophone in a local band, grasping the unreality and nonsense of this dictatorship, occasionally loosing 6 kilos.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach guitar, parkour, french and english songs, juggling, thumbing, hitchhiking, non violent communication, the way this world works at an international level. I really want to learn everything you're passionate about.
