ABOUT ME

We are two different people fit in one profile. But within couchsurfing it will always be the both of us since we live and travel together. Beneath we'll both tell you something about ourselves.

Vincent: Hello, I am Vincent and I'm 27 years old. I grew up in the south of the Netherlands. I have two brothers named Matthijs (also a very active couchsurfer in Amsterdam) and Gertjan. From 2003 till 2005 I started my education to become an outdoor instructor in archery, climbing/abseiling, kayaking, canyoning and rafting. After I finished this I went on studying to become a first degree teacher in sports. In 2008 I graduated! In my free time I love to do windsurfing, play soccer and beachvolleybal. I also like to travel and work as an outdoor instructor in foreign country's, that's also how I met my girlfriend. Lysbert is a very optimistic girl. You can really laugh with her and have a good time. She's very adaptive to all kinds of people. After our awesome world trip now I want to settle down for a while but still travel every now and then. Also, now I work in sports and started a study to become a physiotherapist.

Lysbert: My name is Lysbert and I'm 24 years old. I grew up in the north of the Netherlands with my parents and two younger brothers. Three years ago I started to study Medicine because I want to become a doctor. At that time I moved to Groningen where I had a wonderfull time as a student. After almost a year of travelling I went back to finish my education. I will graduate university in 2012 and want to find a job as a MD. In my free time I play saxophone and I like to sport. My favorite sport is volleyball, but I like all kinds of sport. Also I like music a lot. I play the saxophone in an orchestra. I met Vincent over five years years ago during my holiday in France and since four years we live together in Groningen. We also travelled together for nine months in 2008/2009. Vincent is a very sweet and funny guy and always wants you to feel welcome and have a good time.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We like to host people in our home in Groningen, either for food, a drink or a couch. Also, we like to surf couches when traveling and always want to be good guests and make sure that the host enjoyes our stay!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Vincent's brother Matthijs has had a few experiences with couchsurfing during his world travel and he was Very enthousiastic about it! After hearing his stories we decided to sign up because of our own traveling. During our own world trip we met a lot of fun and kind hosts! Thank you! Now that we're back we would like to host people at our own adress and get to know different people from different cultures!

兴趣

In our free time we both like to do sports like volleybal, surfing, soccer, dancing, squash, snowboarding and skiing. We also love outdoor sports like hiking, kayakking, canyoning, climbing. We do this especially during the vacation time.

Music: All kinds of music; from Micheal Jackson, Alicia Keys till Red Hot Chili Peppers and Live.

Movies: Vincent loves to watch movies. He mostly likes action movies, war movies and comedy. Lysbert is more into comedy and movies with some romance or a good solid story.
