About Me
Not a long time ago, if you asked my friends to describe me they might have told you I was a very strong girl, but very shy and introverted. But now many of them use to tell me "It's amazing the lot you have changed!" or "I cannot believe the woman I'm staring at was that girl I knew at high school.
Today I'm sunny like the city I'm from, Naples. I like to involve and be involved. I'm always looking for new experiences and I do have an adventure spirit.
What changed me so radically? To be sent to China! Since I was at primary school, I liked to study and I was pretty brilliant at University. So, I got a scholarship to go to China and improve my Chinese. And I was....Terrified!!! But in the cold city of Shenyang, Manchuria, I learnt something more important than all the ideograms of China. What really matters, the real knowledge, comes from people, not from books. We need to fill the book of our own history with the names of the people we met along the journey.
A chinese proverb says “He who returns from a journey is not the same as he who left.” I cannot but totally agree.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm eager to deeply know new countries and I strongly believe that I can only do it through meeting local people who could let me immerse in their culture.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Travel around China by cheapest trains with Chinese dagong workers. The longest trip lasted 27 hours and I was seated on the floor!
