About Me

I've completed my Life Sciences degree in National University of Singapore, pretty much had my whole education in Singapore even though I was born in Malaysia. I visit Malaysia and Kerala, India almost every year as I have relatives there.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I enjoy travelling and as a student, I'm on limited funds. However, I believe that that shouldnt stop one from exploring what the world has to offer. I hope to meet similar minded individuals who'd be willing to travel/ host on a budget. (:

However, Couchsurfing is NOT a dating/ hook-up site, not interested in that at all.

Music, Movies, and Books

I enjoy reading books that have a cultural context to it, ie. Khaled Hosseini, Amitav Ghosh, Arundhati Roy, Paulo Coelho, Dan Brown, Jodi Picoult etc. I grew up reading and watching the whole Harry Potter series by JK. Rowling, a huge fan of the series. I love to collect books from the different countries that I have been to.

I also follow a lot of TV shows, namely, Greys Anatomy, Vampire Diaries, Originals, Quantico, Scandal, How I Met Your Mother, How To Get Away With Murder, Game of Thrones, Pretty Little Liars

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Sand dune bashing in Dubai! The adrenaline rush was amazing!

This isnt something amazing that I've done, but the experience itself was rewarding in a way. I went for a trip to Sri Lanka where we had to teach children who were affected by the civil war, learnt more than we taught from the students there. Also, we were caught in monsoon floods in Sri Lanka which was a new experience for me, albeit a bit scary because it doesnt flood in Singapore. As we were travelling in the bus, children submerged in neck deep flood waters were enjoying, splashing water at one another and having fun, smiling in the face of adversity.
