About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To find beauty in the most uncommon of places. Hear great music and eat unforgettable food.
ABOUT ME
I'm actually quite a homebody, love my family and can be very shy, but recent events have inspired me to live more adventurously and try to do things that take me out of my comfort zone. What better place than CS.
PHILOSOPHY
Being a care taker for the past 7 years, I've come to realize that there is a greater purpose in life than to just live and die. God has a plan for us all I'm on that journey now to find my next...
There is no greater joy in this life than to help others and to live life for a purpose other than pleasing yourself. It is so cliche to say life is short, but when you've had to deal with mortality at an early age, it suddenly takes on a much more significant meaning and makes you want to get out there in the world and experience everything there is to see, touch, feel, taste and hear. I believe in living well, treating others kindly and giving all of yourself, because everything here is temporary and there's nothing you can take with you when you leave this earth. Life is but a breath, so we better breathe it.
Did I miss any other cliches? Haha
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Been to a few meet ups and have met some really cool genuine people so far and have learned some new and interesting things that I probably wouldn't have if not for CS.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I'm brand new to couch surfing, but one of things I'm trying to do now is to step outside my comfort zone and do new and adventurous things like joining couch surfing and traveling solo!
Interests
Things that get my blood pumping -
-Music (earlier in my life I've been to over 200 concerts, nothing better than a live show)
-I've also played, the guitar and piano off and on for 14 years
-Football, I love the sport overall, but I'm a diehard Seahawks fan.
EATING GOOD FOOD, I watch a lot of Food Network and visit a lot of food blogs, because I'm a nerd :)
I love to cook, there's no better family bonding experience than to cook and eat together, no matter which culture you're in.
-Health - I try to stay in optimum shape and work out the body as a whole. I try to eat right and live a healthy lifestyle. I'm passionate about nutrition and believe in taking supplements for what your body might be lacking. I believe everyone should see a naturopath at least once in their lifetime :) and learn to integrate both Western and Eastern medicine.
- I have two corgis that get plenty of love and exercise
-I'm pretty good at ping pong if anyone wants a challenge
-I enjoy a good scotch, bourbon and a beer every now and then (that's a George Thorogood song reference BTW for those not familiar with good ol' American classic rock).

Music, Movies, and Books
Favorite Movie - The Apartment w/ Shirley McClain and Jack Lemmon. I love most Billy Wilder films!
Favorite Book - A Wrinkle In Time - cant beat the children's classics.
Favorite music - Let's just say I'm not the kind of person to dismiss an entire genre because I don't like a certain sound, such as country, I think people miss out on really good music when they do that. There's always at least one or two good songs in every genre. I have good musical integrity, but want to expand my exposure through world travel. I like good music that moves me, and I do love country BTW:)
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Skydiving, I know, that does sound a little boring, but I have a crippling fear of heights and I faced my fear.
My family and I caught over 100 lobsters in Vietnam behind my family's house...that was some amazing eatin that day!
Teach, Learn, Share
I managed a local vitamin store in Seattle for 2 years so I'm pretty versed in the natural side of health and eating well. If you have any questions let me know!
