About Me

I'm a world citizen born in Brazil, currently living in Coimbra, Portugal, as a Ph.D. student (I can't change my location on my profile). I'm into peaceful people and simple things. I have always enjoyed very much traveling, but it turned to be a passion in 2008 when I was an exchange student in Estonia. I consider myself a very open-minded, flexible, easy-going and active person so that I'm always ready to join into something new. I'm the kind of person who wakes up 99% of the time in a good mood and I'm pretty good at finding the best of people.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I don't appreciate staying in hotels as usually, they don't give a nice view of the place you are traveling to. I don't consider myself a tourist, but a pilgrim! :)

Interests

I'm a PhD student so I'm pretty much interested in science, especially human science. I'm also into music, as I sing in a choir and I have studied music since I'm a kid. I like to cook. I like nature. I like to get to know other ways of seeing things.

Music, Movies, and Books

Lately, I have been listening to Brazilian popular music. I also enjoy pop music.
As for movies, I prefer dramas, such as Never Let Me Go, The Hours, Let the Right One In, Eternal Sunshine of a Spotless Mind, etc.
I haven't read much non-scientific literature, but only because I haven't head much free time, but I used to like Anne Rice very much when I was younger and had more free time for reading. As for scientific literature, I'm into Psychology, especially Developmental Psychology and Psychology of Motivation.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have been a high school exchange student in Estonia.

I have been a volunteer psychologist, during Christmas time, in a shelter of people who had lost their houses because of a storm which devastated my city.

I have been on a trip to Europe for 10 weeks, alone.

Teach, Learn, Share

I guess I could teach Portuguese and have good conversations about Psychology or Human Sciences.

I can also share my stories. I love to tell stories! :D

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can cook for the hosters! :D
