About Me
ABOUT ME
I'm a 21 year-old Brazilian student from Rio de Janeiro. I study International Relations. I am a sociable person who really likes to meet new people, discover different cultures and find out what is waiting for me in the corner. I'm a very respectful person adaptable to almost all situations.
PHILOSOPHY
Last year, I used to be enrolled in yoga + meditation classes for 6 months. Nowadays, I practice whenever I can.
I would say that my basic philosophy is the following: respect! Besides, I do agree with 'happiness is just a matter of being'.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Since I am doing Erasmus, I'm living in Porto, Portugal, with two Brazilian friends until the end of July. We can have up to two surfers at one time and have already hosted 30 different people in the last 5 months. Besides, I just have to enjoy the fact that I am in Europe for this short period of time by travelling and meeting new people, finding new places with the hope to go back home with a bunch of new stories. Thus, I can't wait to be hosted by some awesome people throughout this journey.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have already hosted 30 people more or less. I can't complain about anything because we had a really good time during these few days. As I enjoyed the last few visits so much and realised how easy it is to make new friendships, I hope to repeat this experience both as a coachsurfer and as a host.
Interests
I have a great number of interests, but the main ones are reading, watching movies, tv series, having a quality time with my family and friends, travelling, meeting cool, inovative and interesting people, theatre.
Songs get me through the day (my mp3 is in my pocket all the time). Creative economy, culture, environment, leadership, youth, voluntary work are themes that interests me.

Music, Movies, and Books
When it comes to music, I like to hear the most traditional Brazilian Samba, FUN Band, Coldplay, Maroon 5 and many other artists. But actually, I have a great variety of genres on my mp3.
I take much pleasure in watching good movies and reading surprising books, regardless of the genre.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I have worked as a volunteer in some organisations sNuch as in AIESEC and in Rio+20 Forum.
I must say it is one of the most rewarding and fullfilling experiences in life, since you work not for money, but for a cause. You give 100% of your energy to make it happen. In these experiences, I have seen and done the most amazing things in my life witHout a doubt. I have also met the most passionate and incredible people I could ever met.
Teach, Learn, Share
Honestly, due to my age, I think I have much more to learn than teach. However, let's say that we can exchange some words and build a reasonable conversation about cultures, international affairs, Human Rights, languagues (I can teach some Portuguese for sure!), yoga and about our daily life issues. Concerning things that I'm willing to learn, oh well, it's an endless list...
