About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To build up a personal army of burmese kittens that will lick and purr the enemy into submission.

ABOUT ME

I'm shorter than I'd like to be for which I blame my parents. I'm a Kiwi lad from Wellington, love the theatre of politics, sports of all shapes and sizes (even if I'm rubbish at them). By day I'm currently a sports journalist for a radio station while by night I'm a toasted sandwich specialist. I referee rugby union and have a pretty embarrassing music collection for a person my age.

PHILOSOPHY

Sleeping in is underrated.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have been aware of CS and, after a friend had some good experiences while travelling, I thought I'd offer up my humble couch for the good of the world. I figured it's a great way to meet some interesting folks from all walks of life and help them out with their accommodation dilemma.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I'm still pretty new but have hosted about half a dozen people/couples now. All good folk from different walks of life.

Music, Movies, and Books

If we're talking favourites...

FILMS: Eternal Sunshine, Thank You For Smoking, The Lion King, Aladdin, Harry Potter, Love Actually, Catch Me if You Can, Space Jam, There's Something About Mary, Bring it On etc.

MUSIC: It's safer if we don't go here but think 90s pop and you're on the right track.

BOOKS: Autobiographies are my bag.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

For any and every New Zealander winning the Rugby World Cup last year was something akin to a Miss Universe contestant who actually attained world peace. You want it to happen, you hope, but for it to actually, finally, happen was sheer joy.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm pretty sharp on the rules of rugby which, even in a rugby-mad nation, is not always the case. Rugby is like the NFL, but without the padding and you can't throw the ball forward.

Countries I’ve Visited

Australia, France, New Caledonia, United Kingdom

Countries I’ve Lived In

Australia, New Zealand
