About Me

IMPORTANT:
-I'm feminist, and I won't stand people who think of me or any other women as objects they just meet to have sex with. CS is NOT a tinder. Is a way of discover other ways of thinking and cultures. To discuss with new people, to agree or to disagree. To meet people you get to laugh, to cry, to love or even to hate. Everything is an option.
If you hardly disagree with me, don't waste your time.
-I don't meet alone with people without references on CS. Also, with people that doesn't have a complete profile. I hope you understand. Sorry if you're new in CS but I've been here for a while and already have bad experiences.

ABOUT ME:
My name is Violeta. I'm from Granada, a town in southern Spain you shoud definitely visit if you're into traveling :)
I am currently studying a bachelor degree in Modern Languages and Literature.
Languages are my passion, I really appreciate when I can get rid off Spanish and English and start speaking other languages. I also love music. My favourite gender is Rock but I like to hear other types of music. I used to play the bass guitar. Also, as a kid I played the viola and now I'm trying to play it once again since it's my favourite instrument.
I have to say too that I'm a smoker. If I meet you, please tell me if you dislike it cause I totally understand and I won't smoke in front of you.
I'm a chess lover (still in the 1400 Elo, but getting better), and if you know how to play I would love to make at least a Blitz with you :)
Also, I'm vegetarian since I'm 16, I have several reasons to do it that if you're interested in we can discuss as long as you don't try to make me stop it, cause I can assure you I won't try to make you vegetarian.
As I said before I'm also feminist, and please, understand that I want the equality among women and men not the supremacy of women. I'm trying to become minimalist too, I'm really getting there, I just love to see my room or my backpack with only the few things I really need to live happily.
I also like a lot politics, history, sociology, anthropology and philosophy, I think is important to have at least a base on those to be in this world.
When traveling is more difficult, but I also take quite seriously ecology, I'm really worried about the future, cause in Spain I already experienced changes due to the climate change (or better, climate emergency).
What I love the most are my parents and my brother. I am like I am now thanks to them, and I'm proud of that.
I'm not very good at making future plans, but I know for sure I want to be a monther as soon as I can, no matter if it's by myself. And please don't tell me I'm too young for that. I like when people understand they don't have to make choices for me.
I'm from Spain, but I hate our monarchy (cause it was put there by our dictator Franco and not by the people and a few other things...) and Bull fights and how people defend it by saying it's culture and tradition.
I hate people who is racist, doesn't respect women rights or homofobic.

EXPERIENCE IN COUCHSURRFING:
I've been in CS for more than 2 years now, I used more it sometimes than others but I have to say that I love it for all of those good experiences and people I got to have and met despite of the bad experiences too. I'm very cautious while using it.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Because I think it's a good way to travel. I love get to know from others how the place I'm visiting is. It's a so much different way to travel. Also to meet new people in my own city. And it helps a lot a student to save money, sorry for the ones that doesn't like this answer but it's there too hehe.

PHILOSOPHY

"It doesn't matter where you go, but who you met while traveling"

"Die Grenzen meiner Sprache sind die Grenzen meiner Welt" I don't remember who said that sorry, but it was some German philosopher I think hahaha.

"I believe in my soul" It is written on my skin with ink. Get your owns conclusions and if you like then we can disscus later ;)

I also consider myself to have an open mind, and that's what I most use while traveling.

WHAT CAN I OFFER YOU:

We can talk Spanish if you are learning it by any chance.

I love to discuss with people different topics that are more controversial or that at least makes people think, such as:
-Feminism.
-Vegetarianism.
-Why the fucking capitalism is destroying our beautiful world.
- The importance of learning the sign language of the country you live in and why.
- Literature, specially Czech literature.
-Social minorities.
-Spanish culture and what I love and hate about it.
-Your culture and others you could teach me something about it.
- Peace and conflict.
- How languages or traveling can affect your vision of life.
- Ecology.
- The human rights that were made by Occidental people and how they can or not be stablish in non-occidental countries.
- How we acquire our mother tongue (Chomsky, Skinner, Piaget...)
- Colonialism and how it affected the whole world history and society.
- Nationalism, Independent movements and how they are related.
- What's tolerance and how to be more tolerant.
- They way we're shape due to our society, family... And if we can change it and to what point we can do that.
- Linguistics.
- Why some languages are more important that others and why is that important to discuss.
- The problems of translation in literature.
- The concept of "Weltliterature" ( universal literature)
- Absolute truths and if they really exist or not.

There are more :) I have opinions on these topics, and don't get me wrong, I just like to know other people's point of view , not to make people think as me.
