About Me
I'm Viola, 26 from Bavaria, Germany. I live in beautiful (but small) Salzburg in Austria to do my master's degree in Psychology. Compared to many other people on Couchsurfing I haven't seen much of the world I guess...but you never get too old to start, so bit by bit, I wanna see all of it!
To earn money I work at Oktoberfest in Munich every year (16 days of night shift at a bar) - it's hard (sometimes even horrible, everyone is dead-drunk and the music is really bad!) but also really fun. If you ever really wanna do this to yourself - let me know, maybe I can help you find a place in Munich :)
Interests
I love music (i almost always listen to it) - I also play the guitar (just a little though) and going to concerts might be my greatest hobby. I recently got myself a reflex camera so this is starting to become my next "big" hobby - I enjoy taking photos of any kinds of things.
When I'm not listenting to music I'm either having a deep conversation about life and what comes with it, goofing around with my roommates, or watching a good movie or series.
I also love cooking (I never eat convenience food..) and would very much enjoy cooking for hosts or guests.
I'm not too much of a party chick, so I prefer bars or pubs to clubs - which doesnt mean I dont like dancing. Because I do. Very much!
Other interests are (of course) psychology, art and all kinds of creative things, nature, fleamarkets....and even though it sounds like a stupid female clichee: I like shopping. There! I said it!

Music, Movies, and Books
I love all kinds of music - Alternative, Indie, Acoustic, sometimes Hip Hop, Electronic Music and - for special moments - i can also enjoy a good classical piece... most importantly: I listen to lyrics!
Movies: I like movies that make you think...or cry..or laugh...or forget your surroundings...are artsy..or provocative...and I always prefer watching them in the OV
Series: I'm a big fan of Shameless, Californication or Orange is the New Black! Also really enjoyed Love and Master of None
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Being an aupair for 4 months in Ireland.
After graduating from school I needed to get out, so I left home for the first time on my own (I'm kind of a coward when it comes to doing stuff alone).
It was a great experience, the country of Ireland was amazing, people were so nice and openminded everywhere, everything looked so beautiful, the trees were so much greener than at home, I met new friends, countless sheep, and enjoyed the pub culture that every country should celebrate as the Irish do!
Teach, Learn, Share
What I can teach? Hm. I guess what almost everyone can teach others: seeing things from a different perspective. Or maybe any kinds of fun (or not so fun) facts I learnt in my psychology classes.
I'd love to learn how to be braver, and less of a coward!
...oh, and in case you are a pro at photography - I'd love to learn more skills on how to get the best shot!
About sharing: Sharing recipes is always good. I'm always happy if someone asks me for a recipe of something I made and I also love trying new recipes from others!
What I Can Share with Hosts
I'd love to cook some German food (or Italian, or whatever) and hopefully give you some tips about new music or great movies I've discovered!
