ABOUT ME

Contemplating where to go next.

I grew up in Vancouver, BC where I learned a love for the outdoors. Of course in Vancouver the mountains sit at the doorstep of a growing world-class city. I play guitar and enjoy a variety of music genres, particularly 80s punk/post-punk, 00s pop music, hip hop and dirty-south rap music.

I studied Painting and Drawing on the east coast of Canada at NSCAD after a few years in Montreal at Concordia University. Discovering the diversity among Canadians inspired me to explore the rest of the world to learn more about myself and the true nature of being a Canadian in the world.

For sport I enjoy running, hiking, ice skating, bicycling, street hockey, tennis, squash, snowboarding, or golf. Like most Canadians I am desperately in love with my hockey team the Vancouver Canucks.

I have worked in many restaurants, most recently bartending at a brewpub in downtown Vancouver. I hope to explore more of the world's beer and wine cultures as I travel the globe.

I hope to support Canadian efforts to preserve clean water and air for our future. As a global society we have a shared responsibility as stewards of the planet's abundant gifts. I seek those around the world who can help with these causes.

Most of all I believe in the power of art to sooth one's own soul and to reach out to others in times of great need. No matter what we do or where we go we humans inevitably lay traces of our existence. The nature of our being is translated for future humans through images and objects. As an artist I can only hope to become more fluent in transforming the visual world through action and communication.

Great experiences so far I will try to update as I go along and keep up to date with references for the very generous people who have helped us along the way!

Most recently I hosted a couple from Germany who were visiting Vancouver and had even more fun showing them around the city. One lives in Vancouver now and we are still in touch.

Years ago my roommate invited a couchsurfer from Holland to stay in our house in Montreal and had a 100 percent positive experience with it.
