About Me

I'm generally traveling on the weekends, so there is a bleak chance that I'll be able to accept any request for those days.

CURRENT MISSION

To continually evolve and to never get comfortable! It's important to push your mind and body and find niches.

ABOUT ME

I'm a young Indian guy in the early 20's with a liberal and open mindset. I started hiking during my high school and since then I've loved it. On my visit to US I developed a hobby for biking. Going around the suburbs and exploring them on my bike was my favorite weekend activity. When I became a regular hiker in the mountains of Himalayas I started meeting people of different cultures and countries.

That is when I became a member of couchsurfing, hoping to travel to various countries, explore different cultures, all the way to meeting new people and even hosting them in my city. Since my graduation I've moved to Vienna, albeit recently, so do not know about the culture of Vienna in detail. I'M NOT A LOCAL. Any request with 'I want to stay with you because I want to meet a local' gets rejected straight away. Please be considerate while writing a request.

PHILOSOPHY

"You can't connect the dots looking forward; you can only connect them looking backwards. So you have to trust that the dots will somehow connect in your future. You have to trust in something €” your gut, destiny, life, karma, whatever. This approach has never let me down, and it has made all the difference in my life." - Steve Jobs, Apple Founder 2005. Thanks for taking an interest in me. Please include "Scooby-Doo" somewhere in your request so that I know that you've made the effort to at least know a bit about me before sending in a request.

Live simply, that others may simply live.

Success is in the follow through

Music, Movies, and Books

Sometimes my taste of music depends upon mood but mostly rock music is my cup of tea. I'm hooked to Pink Floyd, Nirvana, Porcupine Tree, Led Zep, Bob Dylan, Pearl Jam, Guns n Roses. Occasionally I may listen to hip hop as well.

Books : Not an avid reader of fiction, I love autobiographies and various other accounts of the lives of the people. I've read The Curfewed Night, Our Moon Still Has The Blood Clots, The Judgment That Never Came, Zero to One.

Movies : I love movies based more on reality rather than fiction. Movies based on real life stories/issues or portraying the problems of the society and giving a strong message are the sort of movies I like. 12 Years A Slave, Zero Dark Thirty, The Hurt Locker, Black Hawk Down, Behind the Enemy lines.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Went to a very remote village in Himalayas to witness a local wedding where people just drank, danced and smoked for 3 days. During the night the music was so trippy and moon shining so bright, that I was scared of it. By far the most chilling night and the scariest moon I've ever witnessed.

Trekked all my way to the Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Denver, US; attended a concert and hiked the other way into the unknown mountains in Rocky Mountains instead of going down. Found a remote village and spent a night with the locals !
